Reference values

After 1 February 2019 we have standardized our WCX-TOF MS assay with our 2nd reference material that is value assigned by a primary reference material (1).

Here you find:

  •  Our reference ranges for hepcidin concentrations  that we reported before 1 February 2019
  •  Our standardized reference ranges for hepcidin concentrations that we reported after 1 February 2019.

Reference ranges for hepcidin concentrations  that we reported before 1 February 2019

Age- and sex-stratified reference ranges of serum hepcidin-25 concentration in a large, well-phenotyped, sample of the general population (n = 2998), including the reference [hepcidin/ferritin] and [transferrin saturation/hepcidin] ratios, which are important for the clinical interpretation of measured hepcidin concentrations.
